Meet Our Team

DSW
Dr. Steven Wilson

Veterinarian

Dr. Wilson obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from Simon Fraser University in 1993 and graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 1996.
Dr. Wilson enjoys general practice because of the diversity of cases he sees and the clients he gets to meet. One aspect Dr. Wilson finds particularly rewarding is providing relief from arthritis pain in his geriatric patients. There are so many  treatment options available that Dr. Wilson believes there is no excuse for these pets to suffer daily from this very common affliction.
Dr. Wilson enjoys spending his free time with his three children and new puppy Jack.

Eva

Eva Hartmann

Registered Veterinary Technician

Originally from Germany, where she completed her Ecosystem Management degree, Eva graduated from the Fairview College (AB) in 2011 and registered as a veterinary technician in BC shortly after. She has worked in various small animal and mixed clinics on Vancouver Island as well as in the Okanagan. Eva has joined the LAC team in 2018 and works as our “allrounder technician” - using her combination of compassion, experience and efficiency to make sure her patients get the best care possible.

She has a passion for the outdoors and domestic as well as wild animals, which has led her to work in wildlife rehabilitation around the world. Recently, Eva founded the Interior Wildlife Rehabilitation Society and now divides her time between Summerland and Kelowna.

In her spare time, Eva can be found on her yoga mat, exploring new trails on horseback and enjoying the beauty of the Okanagan Valley with her animal family.

Paytyn

Paytyn Harvey

Veterinary Assistant

"I just want to drink coffee, save animals and take naps.'

Paytyn was born in Calgary, Alberta. She was raised in sunny Kelowna, BC where she completed her veterinary assistant program at The Center for Arts and Technology in 2018. She is lucky enough to be called 'Mom' by her daughter River, two cats (Charlie and Garfield) and her dog Ava a Shepherd/Husky cross. Growing up I feel as though a career in the veterinary industry was talked about much less than becoming a doctor, nurse, lawyer etc. I really hope to see the veterinary field get more exposure and to see more and more young, newly graduated people joining the profession! I hope to inspire more people to join such an amazing career. Who wouldn't be happy working with cute animals all day!
